OH GEEZUS!

so its been an interesting couple of days.... but this morning is winning (hands down!) the most interesting thing to happen to me today contest.... read on for the tale..

I arose at about 6:50am with the notion that my driver would be picking me up at 7:45am. Work was starting at 8:30am and I was hoping to be a bit early to get some files loaded on each students machine for class. monday morning i got a call about 10mins ahead of the pickup time so when 7:45 came around and no call i headed downstairs to see if i had missed something or to save a little time.

..... 8:15am, still no word from my driver and the hotel parking staff told me the car with the license plate number matching my driver was not scheduled to arrive (scheduled drivers need to call to get through the hotels security staff. not to mention a dog sniffing, under car mirror check and both engine/trunk compartment check) I went back to my room to call my contact and he called me back a couple minutes later to ensure me that my ride would be there shorty. I went back to the front door.

.... 8:30am, back up to my room to call my contact, he calls as i get in the door and tells me my drive thought I told him I'd find my own way.... WTF? I didn't even have any way of contacting the driver, because I don't even know who it is! he then tells me that his office logistics guy Rajesh will pick me up and he should be there soon.

9:00am, Rajesh walks through the lobby door in a rush and we fly out the door, I'm trying to figure out what car he's headed toward and then I notice we're going out the front gate, where this happened.....

needless to say i wound up at work, 1.5 hours late, smelling like cheap gas go carts from home with enough soot and dust in my eyes to fill a pint glass. WHAT A FUN RIDE!
